On Monday, April 19, 2021 at 6:00 p.m., we will be having our last senior class meeting in the commons area. All seniors and Parents/Guardians are welcome to attend. We will have pizza and fruit juice for supper.

I encourage all 2021 seniors to be present. This is our last class meeting for the school year.

Cheyenne Eagle Butte Schools has limitations on spectators for our 4/13 basketball game. Each player will receive 2 cards. Each card allows one adult or student to purchase a ticket at tomorrow's game that starts at 6pm CST (5pm MST). Admission is $3 per student & $5 per adult. Masks are required.

No school April 2nd for Good Friday & April 5th for Easter Monday. Have a safe and happy Easter! School will resume on Tuesday, April 6th.

The Prom Shop will be open starting tomorrow from 12pm -3pm on the stage at the school. Formal Dresses & Suit Jackets $10 each. If a student brings a formal dress they may exchange it for a different one to wear this year. Stop by during the Hand Game Tournament!

Due to the continuing high wind warning, there will be no after school program and no basketball or track practice today - March 30th. All students will ride their 3:30 bus route.

With the re-opening of the Singing Bridge on Hwy 1806, Wakpala Public School's Hybrid Schedule is NO LONGER in effect. Wakpala Public School has returned to our full week, in-person schedule. This also means that the after school program has resumed its Monday-Thursday schedule.

There will be a mandatory Senior meeting on Monday, March 8th at 3 pm in the Wakpala Public School Theater. We will be discussing some important Senior and parent/guardian information, grades, attendance, etc. Parents are welcome to attend!

In January 2020, Wakpala Public School implemented a Student ID system. Student IDs help strengthen accountability and safety by ensuring students get on their assigned bus and are arriving at their assigned bus drop-off location at the end of the day. We have seen a recurring issue recently of students not having their ID when they board the bus in the morning. Please help ensure your child has their ID when they leave the house. If an ID has been lost or damaged, another can be obtained by stopping by the front office. Thank you for your help.

The 21st Century Program is up & running. We've had great participation so far!
We wanted to remind everyone that students who are signed up for the afterschool program will be kept at school unless a parent/ guardian has called the school no later than 3:00. This is so parents and teachers both know where students should be going. Students who have behavior problems during the school day and are written up will not be allowed to stay for the afterschool program. Parents will be notified of this and students will ride home on the bus at 3:30.

The Delta Dental mobile program will be at our school February 22-26. Your child will only receive services if they have a signed parent/guardian consent form that was given at the beginning of the school year. Please call the school nurse with any questions or concerns.
