A reminder, there is no school Friday, September 3rd for Teacher In-Service nor Monday, September 6th for Labor Day.

School starts Monday, August 30th. The bus routes and times are the same as last year. Please see the attached schedule.

Practices for Volleyball & Cross Country will begin on Monday, August 16th at 10 am CST. Practices will be 10 am each day, Monday - Friday, at the Wakpala School.

At the Board of Education's Organization meeting on July 14th, the Board honored 2 outgoing members; Allen Fischer (left) & Pat Hawk (right). Allen served as a member of the Smee School District Board of Education for 6 years & Pat served for over 20 years. We admire your dedication to the School and the children we serve, and want to say Thank You!!

A reminder that registration is August 16th - 20th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. We will be handing out a bag of school supplies for each child who registers.

There will be a short informational & rules meeting for Volleyball & Cross County at 10 am on Wednesday, August 11th in the Wakpala School Commons. Parents & students welcome! Face masks are required.

June 24th is the last day for Open Gym at Wakpala Public School

Summer school is half way done already! We have some great activities for our students coming up next week.

K-3 students enrolled in summer school will be going to swimming lessons beginning Monday June 14th-17th. It is important that students are here on Monday so they are able to participate in swimming lessons. Students not at summer school on Monday will not be able to be in swimming lessons. Don’t forget your suit and towel, bring it every day.
Next week all of our students will get to participate in cultural activities with Kevin Locke. He will be presenting activities with flutes.
We will still be taking eligible students to the pool on Tuesday and Thursday.
