Wakpala District is sponsoring a Trunk or Treat followed by a Masquerade Pow Wow on Saturday, October 30th at the Wakpala Public School. The Trunk or Treat is from 1-2:30 pm in the School parking lot. The Masquerade Pow Wow is from 2:30-7:30 pm in the Wakpala Public School gym. The 1st 5 drums will be paid $100 each. There are 4 Categories - Participants must be in costume.
* 1st Place - $100
* 2nd Place -$ 75
* 3rd Place - $ 50
All Tiny tots will receive day money sponsored by Councilman, Warren Hawk.

A ghoulish meal will be provided. Concessions will be sold by the Class of 2025 Parent Group.

Classes will be dismissed early on Thursday, October 28th at 1pm for professional development. In conjunction with this early dismissal, there will be no after school program.

Red Ribbon Week, October 23rd through 31st, raises awareness of living a drug free life. During Red Ribbon week students can dress up.

Monday the 25th - P.J. Day
Tuesday the 26th - Wear RED day
Wednesday the 27th - Hat day
Thursday the 28th - Spirit Day (wear school colors)
Friday the 29th - Halloween (wear costumes)

There will be no after-school program today, Wednesday, October 13th due to weather nor Thursday, October 14th due to the Volleyball game at the Wakpala School.

IHS public health nurses will be at the Wakpala School gymnasium on Thursday, October 14th, from 1-3 pm for the second dose of Pfizer COVID vaccine for staff and students age 12 years and older. A student who is under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. The parent/guardian must come to the front office to check out the student before receiving the vaccine.

Our 21st Century After School Program is starting today, September 13th. The program runs from 3:30-5:30 Monday-Thursday. If you're interested in the program but have not yet returned your registration form, please do so as soon as possible. Your child will not be able to participate without a completed form.
